গোটা বিশ্ব এখন নোবেল করোনাভাইরাসে থমকে আছে। দেশের এই ক্রান্তিকালীন সময়ে ঘরবন্ধী মানুষের আয়ের উৎস বন্ধ হয়ে যায়াতে দেশের টানে পাশে দাড়ালেন কেরানীগঞ্জের মডেল থানার শাক্তা ইউনিয়নের দুই কুয়েত প্রবাসী মোঃ মাসুম খাঁন ও আক্তার খাঁন। প্রবাসে থেকেই বিদেশী অর্থে প্রায় ১ হাজার পরিবারে খাদ্য সামগ্রী ত্রান বিতরণ করেন গরীর-দুঃখী, অসহায়, দুস্থ, প্রতিবন্ধী, নি¤œবিত্ত ও মধ্যবিত্ত পরিবারের মধ্যে । ঢাকা জেলা তাঁতী’লীগের মুক্তিযোদ্ধা বিষয়ক সম্পাদক ফজলুর রহমান এর ব্যাবস্থাপনায় গতকাল রোববার সকালে কেরানীগঞ্জ মডেল থানার রামেরকান্দা, অর্গখোলা, শাক্তা, বৌয়ালসতা, গোয়ালখালী, মেকাউল গ্রামের বাড়ী বাড়ী গিয়ে চাল, ডাল, তেল, পেয়াজঁ, সাবানসহ নিত্য প্রয়োজনীয় সামগ্রী নিজ হাতে তুলে দেন কর্মহীন মানুষের হাতে। তাদের এই মহৎ কর্মে কর্মহীন গৃহবন্ধী পরিবার ত্রান পেয়ে উপকৃত হচ্ছেন বলে স্বদেশ প্রতিদিনকে জানায়।
ঢাকা জেলা তাঁতী’লীগের মুক্তিযোদ্ধা বিষয়ক সম্পাদক ফজলুর রহমান স্বদেশ প্রতিদিনকে বলেন, কুয়েত প্রবাসী দুই ভাই মাসুম খাঁন ও আক্তার খাঁন দেশের এই ক্রান্তিকালিন সময়ে নিজ গ্রাম সহ আশপাশের কয়েকটি গ্রামের গরিব ও আসহায় পরিবারে প্রতিনিয়তই সাহায্যে করে আসছেন। তাদের সাথে আমি ও প্রায় দুই শতাধিক পরিবারের মধ্যে নিত্যপন্য খাদ্য সামগ্রী বিতরণ করেছি ও আরো করবো। তিনি আরো বলেন, সরকারের আইন মেনে মানুষের পাশে দূর-সময়ের সঙ্গী হতে পেরে ভালো লাগছে।।
